BRASSINAZOLE-RESISTANT (BZR) is a group of novel plant-specific transcription factors (TFs) that primarily well known as positive regulators of Brassinosteroid (BR) signaling process in different crops. Brassinosteroids (BRs) are a class of plant polyhydroxy steroids that are involved in the regulation of multiple developmental and physiological processes including cell elongation, cell division, senescence, vascular differentiation, reproduction, photomorphogenesis and, responses to various environmental cues. Brassinosteroids (BRs), as stress alleviators dispersed ubiquitously in the plants, protect plants from a variety of environmental stresses, including high- and low-temperature stress, drought, salinity, herbicidal injury, and insect and pathogen attack.
