Welcome to DBB !

The B-box (BBX) family is one subfamily of the zinc finger family. The B-box proteins in plant contain one or two B-box domains near the amino terminus with specialized tertiary structures that are stabilized by binding Zn ions, and some have a CCT domain near the carboxy terminus. The BBX proteins in Arabidopsis were divided into three subgroups according the B-box domains and CCT domain, and the double B-box (DBB) family is one of the subfamilies with two B-box domains and without a CCT domain. The DBB gene family in Arabidopsis contains eight members. Some DBBs (named DBB1a, DBB1b, STO, and STH) are negative regulators of light signaling, whereas STH2 and DBB3 are implicated in a positive manner.
