IQD
Welcome to IQD !
The encoded IQD proteins contain a plant-specific domain of 67 conserved amino acid residues, referred to as the “IQ67 domain”. The IQ67 domain is characterized by the accurate spacing of three copies of the IQ motif (IQxxxRGxxxR) or ([ILV]QxxxRxxxx[R, K]) -which are separated by two short sequences with 11 and 15 amino acid residues, respectively. In addition, each IQ motif partially overlaps with three copies of the 1-8-14 motif ([FILVW]?×?6[FAILVW]?×?5[FILVW]) and four copies of the 1-5-10 motif ([FILVW]?×?3[FILV]?×?4[FILVW]). Members of the plant-specific IQ67-domain (IQD) protein family are involved in various aspects of normal plant growth and developmental processes as well as basal defence response.
